It was predictable that the release this week of damning evidence inside Planned Parenthood clinics would witness abortion supporters attacking the videos’ creator, LiveAction films. (As if any motivation of the videographers could create behavior in PP employees!)
The 5 new undercover stings all present self-described sex traffickers who sought and received PP’s help in the demeaning and illegal commodification of young girls.
Can anyone doubt that hundreds of thousands of sex slaves world-wide actually are betrayed when they are brought through “health” facilities and recycled back into service?
But Media Matters, NPR, and other mainstream media are not only trying to help PP hold onto an undeserved positive image and tax funding, they are displaying a breath-taking lack of compassion for the victims of sex commerce.
“No matter what your opinions on abortion are, in the United States we have strict laws, regulations, procedures and ethics that protect children from being sold in commercial sex.
After viewing the Planned Parenthood video my first thoughts were of … the women and girls — their horrendous statements of rape, gang rapes, torture, branding, starvation, extortions, assault and their reports of repeated forced abortions and miscarriages due to the trauma they received.
In this film the apathy for the victims from the Planned Parenthood manager is not uncommon. Her willingness to be helpful to the pimp about how to work the system… was unfortunately robotic in the face of atrocity.
I hope she truly had no idea of the hell on earth that the victims of sex-trafficking endure and how her instructions [to keep the children quiet, send them with a biased interpreter and to avoid contact with the unpopular clinician who would be strict about sexually active youth] would affect the victims’ lives, human rights/civil liberties, and limit their futures.
All children in commercial sex are victims of trafficking according to the Trafficking Victims Protection Act [TVPA] and anyone who attempted or intended to participate/facilitate human trafficking activities could face prosecution …which could result in a federal life sentence.
The TVPA also has a clause that states any government contractor whose employees or sub- contractors or their dependents engage in human trafficking activities may lose all government funding.”
The battle to stop all federal taxpayer funding of abortions, and to ensure the Obamacare health care reform law does not allow abortion funding, starts in hearings in the U.S. House next week.
Gov. Sam Brownback has recommended keeping federal funding from Planned Parenthood in the upcoming state budget which the legislature is working on. Past Governors Sebelius and Parkinson restored PP funding that was removed by the House and Senate.
New provisions of HB 2035 that govern pregnant minors (under 18) can prevent sex predators and sex-traffickers from using Kansas abortion clinics to assist in criminal activity. HB 2035 will be voted on by the House Federal State Affairs committee on Thursday, Feb.10.
