Canadian dad views dumpster where he rescued a newborn that is his own child! (photo, D.Makowichuk, QMI Agency)

Two newborns were cruelly put into plastic bags and then thrown into dumpsters this week by their own mothers.  Both were miraculously discovered and are being treated in hospital.

Lesson: if you’re walking near a dumpster and think you hear an infant crying–don’t hesitate to investigate.

On Tuesday, in Calgary, Ontario, a 30-year-old man returning to his condo to check on his ailing 29-year-old girlfriend heard a passersby said, ‘I think I hear a baby in the dumpster.”   He jumped into action, pulled out a bag of trash and uncovered a hypothermic newborn inside with an umbilical cord still attached.

Later on that evening he was told the child he had saved was HIS OWN, trashed approximately 2 hours after birth!  The man, still unnamed, wants to raise the child.

His girlfriend (also unnamed) claims she was unaware of her pregnancy, and is scheduled for psychiatric assessment– facing charges of attempted murder, failing to provide the necessities of life and child abandonment.

Three days later, another newborn –weighing 7 lbs. 10 oz.– was rescued from the trash by a janitorial team working at an apartment complex in Emporia, Kansas(more…)

The newest ruling of the Kansas Supreme Court, written by Justice Carol Beier, validates our Kansans For Life-Political Action Committee’s ‘Fire Beier’ initiative and our opposition to re-electing Steve Six as Attorney General.

Efforts to prosecute abortion crimes in Kansas (begun when Phill Kline was AG) have been held hostage for seven years by the state Supreme Court.  Periodically the Court has freed the litigation, but only after hog-tying it with special instructions, accompanied by long  anti-Kline diatribes by Justice Carol Beier.

This was the case Friday, with the Court’s long-overdue release of the 107-count criminal case against Planned Parenthood, sending it back to court in Johnson County, Kansas.

The abortion industry has no better ally than Justice Beier, who penned all three rulings (2006, 2008, 2010) in lawsuits that Planned Parenthood had filed to insure that abortion (more…)

KFL director Mary Kay Culp & others- not the press- located Sebelius at a Tom Holland fundraiser Wed. in Mission Hills

As governor, Kathleen Sebelius was never challenged by the media about her abortion funding or her dishonesty in EVERY veto message of pro-life bills.

Now, Sebelius continues to lie about Obamacare to select audiences and only U.S. Senators Pat Roberts (R-KS) (see past posts here and here) and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) –not the press—are holding her feet to the fire.

NRLC’s Powell Center blog and Politico chronicled Sen. Grassley’s scolding of Sebelius’ bold misstatements to a Florida AARP gathering this month, as caught on the HHS website.

Sebelius’ speech said, “there will be more Medicare Advantage plans to choose from.”  The web version was corrected twice, after Sen. Grassley challenged her with the facts.

Grassley had written Sebelius, “I find it particularly troubling that the section of your speech dedicated to setting the record straight …contains substantial misinformation and omissions. (more…)

I hope I live to see the day when our nation turns against abortion for ravaging our nation’s health with the same commitment it now has against cigarette smoking.

Tobacco companies and government colluded to introduce cigarettes to servicemen by including them in military rations.  From World War I through Vietnam, tens and perhaps hundreds of thousands of American boys & men, who may have never picked up a cigarette, suddenly had plenty of them free.

The practice even continued for 11 years after the surgeon general issued his famous warning in 1964.  Then, allegedly reacting to the financial costs of cigarette disease, particularly for smokers on the government health dole, the federal government launched an unprecedented assault on Big Tobacco.  Plaintiffs dying of cigarette diseases filed lawsuits, with some winning huge jury awards.

The parallel collusion between the government and the abortion industry is instructive. The captive population is not just the military, it’s the entire school system and the media-dominated culture, sealed by the U.S. Supreme Court declaration that an immoral procedure is a Constitutional right required by an enlightened society.

The evidence of the collusion is the information missing on the websites of the mainstream cancer industries. The National Cancer Institute egregiously ignores (more…)

Nebraska's Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act begins Friday

This blog has covered the passage of a new Nebraska abortion ban, as it brings to light the medical fact that children in the womb can feel pain (and thus abortion) MORE acutely than they experience pain after birth, when the “pain-desensitizing”  process has matured.

Our sister NRLC affiliate, Nebraska Right to Life, heralds Friday as the start of a new chapter in ending  abortion, as it is the day this Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (LB 1103) goes into effect.

From their newsletter today:  “In April, the Nebraska Legislature passed LB 1103, which bans abortions at 20 weeks and beyond based upon medical documentation of an unborn baby feeling pain at that gestation.  When LB 1103 was going through the Legislature, abortion advocates hinted strongly that a legal challenge would be posed to thwart implementation of the law.

At this writing, with the enactment date of October 15th, it is not anticipated that any legal challenge will be mustered. UPDATE, Oct. 15: The law is in effect. Apparently, the abortion industry does not want to risk LB 1103 going up before the U.S. Supreme Court, (more…)
