On Thur. Feb. 11, 2010, 21-year-old UCLA student Lila Rose enthralled over 1100 KFL banquet guests in Overland Park with details of her undercover video investigation of Planned Parenthood abortion sites.
Rose is pleased that Alabama health officials placed a clinic she investigated on probation for covering up cases of sexual abuse and violating the state’s parental consent law on abortion. UPDATE: more violations discovered.
“The Health Department report documents the same malpractice that we have found in state after state,” Rose said. The Alabama tape was released last year. Reviewing clinic records, state health inspectors found
…nine minors, ages 13-15, had received abortions without proper verification of parental consent …One of the 13-year-olds who received an abortion reported starting having sex at age 12 and having three partners in the previous year. She was back at the clinic for another abortion four months later and said she had now had four sexual partners in her life.
The video was the sixth in Live Action’s “Mona Lisa Project,” a multi-state undercover audit of Planned Parenthood’s compliance with state laws regarding minor abortion and mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse.
Planned Parenthood in Overland Park, Kansas, still faces 107 criminal charges; the prosecution awaits a long-delayed ruling by the state Supreme Court.
Miss Rose spoke again the next evening at yet another KFL banquet in Wichita.
